Alpine Ski resorts

Away from the hurly burly of seaside resorts, the once snowy ski stations of the French Alps are transformed in the height of summer to a region of unparalleled natural beauty. Soaring majestic peaks, verdant alpine meadows and glistening lakes will seduce you with their beauty. There are almost endless possibilities for exploration on foot, by car or by bicycle and which ever way you turn, spectacular panoramas will take your breath away. All our resorts offer an extensive choice of sports and activities with mountain biking, paragliding, summer tobogganing and swimming, to name but a few. For sightseeing and shopping, a choice of picturesque alpine towns and cities are within easy reach for a day trip: The charming medieval quarter of Annecy, with its canals and cobbled streets, has a distinctly Venetian feel and the lake shore is a delightful spot for a picnic in the sunshine. Chambery, is the old capital of the Savoie region, where an abundance of smart shops, stand alongside the imposing Place du Chateau, the gothic architecture of La Sainte Chapelle and the museum of Savoie history. The lively university town of Grenoble, has a lovely old quarter in which to while away an hour or so and the sleepy little town of Bourg d’Oisans, in the valley below Alpe d’Huez comes alive on market day offering a great opportunity to purchase a whole range of local specialities.
