Three luxurious gites, located in an 18th Century domaine in Sallertaine, at the heart of the Vendee marshes, only 15km to local sandy beaches. The Domaine has belonged to the same family since it was built in 1723 and is situated in relaxing and harmonious surroundings.
The gites have been nicely renovated, and decorated with great care, and are extremely comfortable. Furthermore, they each have a terrace with garden furniture and sun loungers, a heated swimming pool (8m x 4 m) and Internet connection.
La Fromentiere is a semi detached gite and comprises a large living room and a separate fully fitted kitchen.
This 110 m² gite for 5/6 people features a master bedroom with en-suite shower room upstairs and a bedroom with bathroom downstairs.
You enter the house into the tiled living room which is furnished with a large sofa, a coffee table, a flat screen TV, a DVD player, and a wood-burning stove for those cooler evenings in low season (wood is provided). Another small round table is under the staircase. There is a dining table with six chairs, a dresser, and a small wrought iron bench.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with vitro ceramic cooking hobs, a traditional oven, a cooking hood with extractor, a micro wave, a dishwasher, and a fridge, as well as a mosaic tiled table and 4 wrought iron chairs.
A further utility room, situated at the back of the house has cupboards, a freezer, a washing machine, a dryer, a vacuum cleaner, an iron with iron board, and a clothes-horse. You will also find a cupboard and WC with a hand basin, facing the entrance.
Also on the ground floor, there is one bedroom furnished with twin beds which can be put together, bedside tables with lamps, and a wardrobe. There is an old bread oven that has been perfectly restored. The bedroom opens onto the garden via a glass door. There is an en-suite bathroom with a small bath, a hand basin, and an electric towel dryer.
A wooden staircase leads to the first floor where there is one bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe, a full length mirror, an armchair, and a large stool.
The en-suite shower room has 2 hand basins, and an electric towel dryer. It has a great view on the countryside.
There is a small lounge, equipped with a single sofa bed and (a single bed TBC).

The heated swimming pool (extra cost except from 5/6 to 25/09/2010) in the front of the house is protected by an electrically operated cover when not in use and surrounded by a paved terrace, and a lawn, ideal for sunbathing. A sun shade, sun loungers, garden furniture as well as a charcoal BBQ are provided, to enable you get maximum enjoyment from your holiday in this exceptional site.
Heating for the pool and the house are provided by a eco-friendly heat exchange system.
The children may share a large and enclosed playground on a lawn, with swings and a slide. There are some bikes at your disposal that you may share among the clients of the other gites.
There is an internet connection.
Animals are not accepted.
