The history of Simple Shelter :

It was 1949, I was 8, my sister two, we had  two months vacation with my grandmother   in St. Jean de Monts, in the little house of my parents: "Simple Shelter" .
The trip was arduous, with our grandmother, we took the train to Orléans which dropped us at the station in Nantes around noon or one o'clock. We ate a small snack in the park which was right opposite the station. Then in the afternoon, climb on the bus which stopped in many towns and villages. Evening in St-Jean-de-Monts, the bus passed near our house, and my grandmother, to avoid going to the bus station which was a way from home, she explained the situation and the bus created an extra stop for us for this woman and her two small ones to have yet to make a long walk..
